What is colloidal silver?
Colloidal silver is a solution consisting of microscopic silver particles suspended in water: being extremely small, they do not settle to the bottom of the solution but remain suspended due to their electrical charge.
Used for centuries as a natural antibacterial and antifungal agent, it is believed to kill a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, thus limiting their ability to reproduce and cause disease.

The properties of colloidal silver
Used as a disinfectant for sterilisation, and because of its antibacterial properties, silver is now used for bandages and dressings for veterinary use, as well as for sanitising sprays.

Applied to the skin, it provides immediate relief and helps the skin to regenerate in cases of ringworm, wounds and burns. Administered in the ears, it fights bacteria and yeasts. In the eyes, it is a useful remedy against infections, allergies, inflammation and tear stains.
Some experts, especially overseas, also recommend colloidal silver for the treatment of dental problems (applied directly to teeth and gums), for urinary disorders (administered by mouth, possibly mixed with wet food or water), and to strengthen the immune system.
How to use colloidal silver on dogs and cats
How to use colloidal silver on dogs and cats depends on the problem you intend to solve. For some ailments, oral administration in drops is recommended. For wounds, it can be applied diluted on the skin, and on the eyes, it is advisable to wipe with a soft cloth or cotton wool.
Colloidal silver is sold in the form of silver water, formulated for daily hygiene of the most delicate areas of the animal, starting with the eyes and ears (particularly prone to infection).
